Clinic: Sewing Curves and Making Butterflies

Wow guys, we are FLOORED!

Ever since COVID has hit the world, online learning has become a favorite normal among a lot of quilters and sewists. Obviously online is more convenient, especially for sewing, as you can do the learning without having to leave your sewing room (AKA the happy place!)

But there is something ONLINE can never replace- the vibe and the connection that a live session brings with it. Let me tell you, face to face sewing is ADDICTIVE.

This is why we have started organizing Classic Quilts. These are just purely technique sessions. We do not expect anyone to finish a full project, but we definitely expect you to learn a nice technique that you can take home and use your learnings to make wonderful projects.

We have started with the BUTTERFLY. Lots of sewists have issues cutting and sewing curves, and we discovered this amazing ruler by “Sew Kind of Wonderful” called the Wondercurve ruler. You can shop for this or order in advance (in case it is on restock) on our website. Here is the link: CLICK HERE

So what did we achieve in the Butterfly Clinic?

  1. Lot of curve cutting practice
  2. Understanding how to use to wonder curve ruler to cut, and square up blocks
  3. In about one hour (90 minutes in case we chatted, which we did!), you walk out with some beautiful butterflies.Check out some of the finished work here below

Do you want to learn the same? Well, don’t worry- this class is available for you to book on our website. Once you book, just call the store and talk to Tanja, our in-store educator and she will fix a time with you.

Happy Sewing and thank you everyone who joined us in making so many butterflies!
